The Sun Also Rises
gloryhole
3 guys.

After a sex scandal involving a freshman, a top liberal arts college hires a professional counselor to lead an open discussion group about sexual politics. Over the course of eight weeks, six members of the group with conflicting perspectives must grapple with virginity, assault, consent, and just how sexually liberated they really are.

This sapphic reinterpretation of the Hemingway classic imagines Jake and Brett as queer exes tangled among histories of friendship, debauchery, love, and heartbreak. On a group trip to Spain, Jake must grapple with her relationships to sex, gender, and Brett’s new fiancé in the midst of social catastrophe. The Sun Also Rises dissects the innately queer longing for what could have been, and what might still be.

Three guys. Three messages. Endless waiting. This experimental piece explores male insecurity as it takes us through the lives of three totally normal guys, each waiting for a monumental message back. What happens to when you're forced to confront your emotions after a lifetime of being told not to express them?
